18 June 2007

The day we arrived in San Francisco, we met up with Noah, Cara, and Skye (more about her in another post). We headed out to Tomales Bay Oyster Company, a low-key oyster farm north of San Francisco on highway 1, where a bunch of friends were having a cookout and eating (what else) oysters.

Unfortunately, my parents weren’t prepared for the sun or heat. Turns out the coldest winter isn’t summer in SF after all. Anyway, to get some much needed shade I hid behind a large rubbish bin. Hanging out near the trash isn’t very exciting so I decided that I had to make a move.

Alas I didn’t get far, I merely rolled over once before my parents caught me. While I didn’t get away, I did roll over for the first time, with witnesses. However, some are quibbling that it doesn’t count because I was on a slope and it was “gravity assisted”. Is this like not counting a wind-assisted 100m sprint at the Olympics? Whatever, I’m counting it.

I'm with you on this one, Simon…gravity assisted or not!

About me

My name is Simon and I entered the world on 29 December 2006 in Sydney, Australia. Since everyone who is anyone is online, I figured I’d get started right away. I hope to post photos and notes to keep my friends and family around the world updated on my many adventures.

A word of warning, while my adventures will be plentiful, my personal photographer may not be able to keep up. Also, things around here (and me, for that matter) are still quite new, so I’m still getting a feel for this whole blogging thing.

Now what?
