22 June 2007

On my first day in NYC, my parents took me on the subway (not scary at all) to check out the where they used to live. They mentioned something about “being conceived here”, but I don’t understand what that means. What I do understand is that my parents really liked the food in their neigbourhood. They took me to all of their favourite places, including their local coffee shop (9th Street Espresso), a cajun place (Great Jones), a cuban joint (Cafecito), and a low-key brunch place (il Bagatto). We also checked their local park (Tompkins), a jazz/wine bar next door to their old apartment (Louis), and we even swung by an Australian pub that was around the corner (Sunburnt Cow).

They seemed to really enjoy it, but I didn’t see what all the fuss was about, I decided to sleep most of the day away instead.

Baby talk

So far…

Not a gurgle has been made.

About me

My name is Simon and I entered the world on 29 December 2006 in Sydney, Australia. Since everyone who is anyone is online, I figured I’d get started right away. I hope to post photos and notes to keep my friends and family around the world updated on my many adventures.

A word of warning, while my adventures will be plentiful, my personal photographer may not be able to keep up. Also, things around here (and me, for that matter) are still quite new, so I’m still getting a feel for this whole blogging thing.

Now what?
