It’s pretty cool that I get to travel the world for free–my parents have to pay exorbitant amounts of money for crappy seats and crappy food. Me on the other hand, I’ve got it good.
My parents were too stressed to properly photograph me on the trip from Sydney to LA, so my many fans will have to be content with a pic from the easy, 1 hour, flight from Los Angeles to San Francisco.
I suppose a story is in order about the big trip from Sydney to LA. I slept 10 of the 14 hours and my parents were pretty pleased that I only really fussed for a total of 30 minutes or so. I guess the other passengers were also happy. However, it didn’t start out so rosy. I wasn’t too thrilled with this whole flying thing initially, so I lodged my protest the only way I know how–loudly. Then my parents were presented with the “bassinet” for the flight–more of a duffel bag (complete with a flat bottom, straps, and a zipper). I guess they weren’t so happy about having me sleep in a bag at their feet for the next 14 hours. Surveying the situation (me crying and contemplating my “bed”), my Mum, always the way with words summed it up best, “This is worse than I ever imagined”.
Then my Mum, ever the hero, managed to get the flight attendant to seat the person next to us elsewhere so that my parents had somewhere to put their feet instead of on my head. I appreciated that.
My name is Simon and I entered the world on 29 December 2006 in Sydney, Australia. Since everyone who is anyone is online, I figured I’d get started right away. I hope to post photos and notes to keep my friends and family around the world updated on my many adventures.
A word of warning, while my adventures will be plentiful, my personal photographer may not be able to keep up. Also, things around here (and me, for that matter) are still quite new, so I’m still getting a feel for this whole blogging thing.

Hello Simon,
there seems to be a general look on your face through all the photo's.
You seems very interested and wide eyed!
No need to take life too seriously… Just rely on the parents getting super rich and taking care of you forever. I'm still waiting on my parents to get lucky. They'd better hurry up!!
